Hunting is planning: reading schedules and NOTAMs, watching ADS-B for an inbound, and choosing a position and a time for one specific airframe. The opposite approach is simply standing at a good spot and taking what comes.

This term does not auto-link inside captions, because "hunting" is ordinary English and a caption about hunting for a parking space should not link to a spotting technique.
