NOTAM
A notice telling crews about a temporary hazard or change — a closed runway, unserviceable lighting, an airspace restriction.
NOTAMs are how anything that is not in the permanent charts gets published. Spotters read them because they announce runway and taxiway closures days ahead, which changes where to stand, and because they list the airshow and display activity worth turning up for.
